It’s cooler and we’re turning 8, so it’s time to celebrate!

There are so many reasons to celebrate this time of year – cooler temperatures, a new planting season and our 8th anniversary. Over the years we have so appreciated our wonderful customers. We enjoy your gardening stories, the pictures of your beautiful flowers and veggies, and are gratified when we can help with your questions. It wouldn’t be an anniversary celebration without offering you a big Thanks!

Of course the cooler temperatures bring a new season of fun classes at Southwest Gardener. Check out our fall class schedule. We’ve included one of our most requested classes, the succulent wreath, there are three great mosaic classes, and you’ll never look at a leaf the same way after our leaf collage class. The annual Holiday wreath is a classic, stunning piece and we’ve added a new holiday class where you’ll learn to create handmade paper gift tags infused with Arizona wildflower seeds.

The 2007 seeds from Renee’s Garden and Botanical Interests have arrived and we’re now stocking germination kits that include a tray for 72 new seedlings, a clear dome and a warming mat to ensure speedy sprouting so you can start those spring veggies this winter. Here's a list of what you can plant now.

We’ve just returned from our semi-annual buying trip, so new items are arriving daily and we will continue to get great things right through the holidays. We have customers tell us every year how they do most or all of their holiday shopping with us and they are thrilled we saved them from having to go to a mall. Here's a list of new treasures and old favorites.
